We invite submissions to the MIRASOL (Medical Image Computing in Resource Constrained Settings) Workshop, formerly known as MICCAI meets Africa, held as part of the MICCAI 2025 conference, held in September 27th 205 in Daejon, Korea.
- • Submission deadline: June 25, 2025
- • Accepted papers will be published as Springer LNCS post-proceedings.
- • A collective paper focused on “neuro”-related submissions is also planned, to be submitted to a selected Elsevier or Springer journal.
Travel grants are available, with priority given to applicants from low-income countries, though many grants are available

Overcoming Healthcare Barriers in Resource-Constrained Settings (RCS):
– poor image quality, scan completeness and data-sharing issues
– low-cost imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, smartphone-based tools)
– cost-effective use of EEG/ECG biosignals
– affordable image-guided therapies and computer-assisted interventions
Methodological ML Advances:
– image quality enhancement for low-cost devices
– data-efficient ML for sparse RCS data
– robust approaches to missing and noisy data
– affordable transfer learning and domain adaptation
– bias mitigation and model compression for equity
