The “Computer Science” journal is published by the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. The editors of the journal are members of the Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics, and Telecommunications as well as the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering. The editorial committee consists of numerous recognized scientists from around the world who conduct research in the field of computer science.

 

The first issue of the journal was released in 1999. The quarterly “Computer Science” journal publishes original scientific and research papers on contemporary theoretical and applied computer science topics. The subject matter includes (but is not limited to) theoretical foundations of computer science, image recognition and processing, evolutionary algorithms and neural networks, database systems, knowledge engineering and automated reasoning, computer networks and distributed systems, large-scale computing algorithms and their implementations, and multimedia systems and computer graphics.

In the latest edition of Journal Citation Reports (JCR ed. 2022), the journal received a journal impact factor (JIF). This journal impact factor is of significant importance – both for the evaluated journals and for the authors who are published in these journals.
