Nature-Inspired Computing Methods

This seminar series is dedicated to nature-inspired computing methods – a fascinating research field that has been evolving for more than 50 years. From John Holland’s pioneering work, through the development of metaheuristics and neural networks, to modern applications in artificial intelligence and machine learning – nature continues to inspire computer scientists to design innovative solutions.

The aim of the series is to explore both the practical aspects of designing and applying nature-inspired algorithms, as well as the philosophical questions behind this research direction. The seminar will provide a space for presenting new ideas, discussing challenges, and building connections, while also inspiring young researchers.
