On 24–25 November 2025, the AGH Faculty of Computer Science hosted the inauguration of the Cyber Legion Programme – one of the flagship initiatives of the Cyberspace Defence Forces and the Polish Ministry of National Defence, aimed at strengthening national cyber resilience and developing key competences in cybersecurity.

The event gathered representatives of state authorities, the Armed Forces, academia, and the technology sector. A highlight of the inauguration was the signing of a cooperation agreement between AGH University of Krakow and the Cyberspace Defence Component Command. The document was signed by:
• Maj. Gen. Karol Molenda, Commander of the Cyberspace Defence Component
• Prof. Jerzy Lis, Rector of AGH University of Krakow

The agreement marks a significant step in establishing a long-term partnership dedicated to strengthening Poland’s cybersecurity. Its implementation will involve the AGH Faculty of Computer Science, the AGH Cybersecurity Center, and the AGH Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence.
