Temat: Quantum Switch as Quantum Circuit-- theory and practice
Abstract The quantum switch is one of the simplest elements which can be analyzed in quantum circuits and in the field of connections inside quantum networks. Its task is to exchange the information between inputs A and B, i.e. the quantum information entering the switch’s input A is transmitted to output B, and analogously, the information from input B is passed to output A. During the seminar, we are going to present the construction of the switch and the analysis of its operating. We will show that the entanglement level is an invariant while the switch’s operating. Finally, challenges for further theoretical research and numerical experiments will be listed.
Joanna Wiśniewska graduated her studies in Computer Science and received M.Sc. degree in 2003 at Military University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland. After the graduation she has started the work at her alma mater in the Institute of Information Systems on the Faculty of Cybernetics as a Research Assistant. She obtained Ph.D. degree in 2012 in a field of quantum algorithms. As an Assistant Professor, she continues her research concerning the problems of pattern recognition, quantum algorithms, quantum communication, computer simulation.
Marek Sawerwain received the M.E. degree in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree in 2010 in Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Telecommunications from University of Zielona Góra, Zielona Góra, Poland, and in 2021 was granted a postdoctoral (D.Sc.) degree in engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of information and communication technology. His current scientific interests include quantum communication methods, quantum computation methods, and theory of quantum programming languages. He also realizes his research in the field of quantum computations models simulations and creating of effective algorithms for solutions based on modern multicore CPU and GPU technology. He is currently associated with Faculty of Computer, Electrical and Control Engineering, University of Zielona Góra, as an Assistant Professor.
